One of the best feeling games to control ever, some very fun level design, lots of unique objectives. Didn't personally enjoy most of the world themes or the overall structure.

I absolutely adore the way the game controls, the level design, the puzzles and platforming, the way everything connects with itself, the level themes, the humour, the abilities you learn, the minigames, the atmosphere... Easily the game of all time.

Lots of fun platforming and exploration, although the isometric style doesn't do it too many favours. Overall very impressive for the GBA and underrated

Close to the optimal N64 game, even if not my favourite, there are just so few flaws. Great levels and controls; basically an improvement over SM64 in about every way, and I love SM64.

Extremely glad that Metroid returned and on such a grand scale. Impressed with how well the puzzles and new upgrades worked, and the bosses were the best in the series, which I didn't expect after Samus Returns.

This is one of the games that has so many flaws but which, to me, is still essentially perfect. It's completely mesmerizing; you can't take your eyes off of it.

Honestly a perfectly serviceable game but nothing special. Art direction is middling, the tasks eventually get tedious even if they are necessary, and it doesn't add very much past traditional Mafia games like Town of Salem.

I don't think I could want anything more out of whatever type of game this is. The humor may be dated at some points but at others it is hilarious, and the story is still touching in every way. The art, while potentially 'amateur,' is still endearing.

I still play this like hundreds of hours a year and likely will not stop as long as I live.

I still have not 100%ed it sadly because I stopped just short and didn't come back in too long. Disappointed in myself because this is probably the best Metroidvania there will ever be.

After a whole additional game, the gimmicks of Portal become a little grating, but its still very well designed and always engaging.

Earliest game to affect me in the embarrassing sort of way

Leaves so much to be desired but also offers so much. One of the best games ever to play with friends and pretty good competitively too. I don't think anything I could say would add much

In an objective sense, I'm not sure its great; but for how much it means to me, and how great it was for the time, this is a masterpiece.

Obviously an incredible puzzle game which may have ruined jokes forever.
