I really liked it, despite the repeating environments I found them varied and well paced. Enjoyed the riddle of the notes unfolding throughout the story and slowly working out what was going on. However its very easy to miss things if you dont know what you are doing and it resulted in me really fucking up and getting the worst ending ha. But the reveal with the numbers I thought was very cool, it contextualised a lot.

Hate is undeserved, fun if not average game. I liked the mobility and parkour mechanics a lot. When you get more of the abilities and skill trees opened up there is a lot to play around with and especially on the harder settings with all the spells at your disposal. You are able to have some really thrilling fights. However the game is sort of a mess and the development shows, the pacing is way off and the game basically ends with a 2 hour walking and lore dump chapter that is fucking painful. Maybe I was just stupid but some of the twists got me. I didnt have much issue with Freyas personality. She is a bit unlikable at times but all in all was a fun protag. I will say I think Square needs to ditch this busted ass engine. Its not as good ast they think. FF15 showed it. And the controls are so wack. My hand is still hurting from clawing so I have camera, parkour and attacks all available to me at the same time.

Okay this has got me back into FE but also made me cringe hard. Because it takes a lot of modern character design, attitudes, personalities from stuff like Genshin Impact or I dont know and makes them really prominent. I cant stand the story, the writing etc.. However the actually gameplay is so fun!! I love the game because it is less of the social stuff and more just the combat. but oh god i hate all these genshin impact looking characters and their cringe dialogue.
PINKIE PROMISE. All the gameplay mechanics and options are really fun to mess around with and use in combat. I really like it. weapon triangle is there and everything. I find the gameplay pretty meaty. I just cant fuck with anymore RPG high school classes and all this bullshit lol. I refuse to play anymore boring anime RPG classes that make me go to sleep. If I want to go to school. I will go to school.

I'm not sure why this game received such a negative review and hate. I really like the combat... That said I did not know it would be this type of game. It was marketed as a spirtual successor to Dead Space and it is not. It is a tense sci-fi brawler. It did not live up to my expectations because I had the wrong expectations. And it's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's really really polished, the battles are thrilling, the tempo is nice, and it makes fantastic use of the Dualsense. The brutality and difficulty of the combat and the encounters made this VERY tense for me (and not from survival horror mechanics like I expected). On the other hand, the characters are uninteresting, and the conclusion overwhelms the player and leaves no open-ended questions... So, it does conclude on a negative tone. Even worse, I'm not sure how the tale could realistically go on unless the gameplay is completely altered. A brief DLC is definitely feasible, but a sequel is not? idk.. In general though its a good horror pickup. As much as I enjoy being afraid, some horror games have lost their capacity to frighten me, therefore I can't say how scary this is. (specifics do scare the shit out of me lol). For just being a fulfilling and enjoyable science fiction frolic without any unnecessary filler... It totally rocks and I really enjoyed playing it. However its just not like the first Dead Space which had a compelling narrative and a gameplay type I was expecting from this. Buckle up though if you'd enjoy whacking melty face zombies with a bat till their arms fall off. Which I did.
Jesus. I actually had to learn all these patterns and tricks and loops to keep the bunny away. I dont feel I ever fully mastered or understood it. But I managed to have a good enough awareness of what was going on to finally finish it after a few hours. I just never knew if I was messing up or being bested by the RNG. Was hard to understand.

The first KH has issues. You go back to it and its very stiff. However the game (despite all its silly plot, which is much simpler here) is very charming. I have a lot of time for this one. But if I want to try to enjoy the gameplay loop of a KH game. There is no reason I wouldnt just pop in number 2.

I often describe RE4 as one of the most video games ever. It has everything. Game design, gameplay, mechanics, control, music, sound design, plot, character design, graphics... RE4 created a whole new genre and reinvented RE forever, whatever you make of what comes after is whatever. This on itself is perfect. Only a few slow sections. Really well paced
