When SEGA officially localized this game in the US, they took a neat shortcut. Instead of translating the game they removed most of the dialogues BUT to compensate doubled the difficulty.

When Bare Knuckle III was localized as "Streets of Rage 3" the story was completely changed, characters colors where altered and others were censored, the difficulty was also increased. This patch translated the original game, the way it was meant to be played.

This patch translates all the dialogue and all briefings completely into English. All that’s left are some splash screens, but this patch is marked final, so these apparently won’t get translated.
