I might be wrong here but I'm pretty sure X and X-2 are set before Crisis Core. It's been a while but I think at one point in X-2 the characters come across a cave and it's mentioned that the cave is full of some sort of energy but the technology to extract it doesn't exist yet. One of the developers pointed out the similarity in structure between that cave and a cave in VII with an energy mine or something like that. I'm probably mixing things up as it's been a while, but I wanted to tell you that.

It doesn't have FF in the title, but Vagrant Story takes place in Ivalice post-FFT and before Advance. Might be worth including ^^

This one is a little misleading since main entries don't share a timeline at all, there is only a timeline within main series entries due to spin off games and the rare sequel.
