Gaming Fever
Since monday I've been pretty ill (if you are wondering, Covid) and instead of, you know, focusing on recovering, my poor rotted brain has had one thought since yesterday... What games have ilnesses, be it fictional or real, as a focal point of the narrative and gameplay?
This list has the purpose to answer that question, and as always, every submission is more than welcomed!

Dishonored and its rat plague feels like it fits

@Jackier I think both games fit perfectly from what you've described, thank you so much! I'll add them right now :)

Eternal Sonata - The entire narrative is based around Frederick Francois Chopin's fever dream when dying of tuberculosis.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best example I can think of of this.
Also GET WELL SOON BUDDY!
@FallenGrace You just re-ignited a long forgotten memory there. I still cannot comprehend how that premise was made into a videogame, but it's certainly unique. Thank you for the suggestion! :D
@cowboyjosh I'll add it in a moment, and thank you so much for the kind words, I truly appreciate it :D

Might be a bit of a stretch but in a short hike claires mom is undergoing a surgery/is implied to be sick and thats very relevant to her journey up the mountain
The Division (and the Division 2) is about a major sickness that grips the USA, leading to large numbers of casualties, quarantine zones, etc.
Feel better soon!

Oh, and Parasite Eve (and Parasite Eve 2, probably?) could also fit here, I think? It is about mitochondria that take over the body of the host.
There are also the Walking Dead games, but then I suppose you could add pretty much any game with zombies...

@moschidae I think it fits in the list, while the illness itself isn't the center of the plot, it is important for both Claire's motivation and her relationship with her. To the list it goes, thank you! :D
@Corrugated_Fox I think they all warrant to be here perfectly! I didn't even know that The Division was about a plague, but I didn't know much about the game in the first place, so it makes sense... Thank you for all of the adittions and the kind words! I feel far better than the past there years, so I really hope I can be back as always soon! :)
