Games I've gotten the platinum trophy for

TLOU 1, Crash N. Sane trilogy and FIFA 15 are probably the hardest ones. Who knows.

The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man
A pretty unique first platinum. Nothing especially hard, but I think I spent a whole day collecting the 600 or so comic book pages. I know this one isn't particularly good, but I absolutely love this game.
The Last of Us Remastered
The Last of Us Remastered
This platinum occurred during a time where I think all I played was this game. From December 2014 until the platinum in April 2015, I exclusively played this. Or at least spent the most time on this by far. This actually should've been my first one, but I for some reason got TASM instead despite starting on this beforehand. I guess this one took a lot longer. I also didn't realize that you didn't have to beat the game on Grounded twice for the platinum. I thought the DLC trophies were required for the plat but they were not and honestly I'm glad I didn't know because I probably wouldn't have bothered. This was like seven years ago now so it's definitely not all there memory wise. At some point I moved the PS4 out of my room and into the more open area outside of my room because the sewer bit with the bloater freaked me out too much. I very distinctly remember cheesing one of the hardest sections in the game on my second Grounded playthrough, the one where Ellie is given the hunting rifle in the financial plaza. Eight enemies spawn and then an additional eight after you kill the first eight, but the weird thing is that you aren't supposed to be able to stealth the section because the next cutscene is all about what a good job Ellie did defending you. But it is actually possible and I did it first try on that second playthrough. I was so gassed after struggling a lot the first playthrough that I literally texted my mum just to tell someone. That's kind of the overall experience with Grounded, first playthrough is absolute hell but once you realize how easy it is to break and exploit the encounters, it's a breeze and I managed to half my time from like 16 hours to 9 hours. And also it's obvious I'm a big fan of the multiplayer, so that part was a breeze for me. Overall played like three playthroughs, had to do an extra one to get all the supplies for upgrading weapons and such. This was so long ago that only the last few trophies I got are actually screenshotted, I guess they added that feature during all that. Anyway, that's what I immediately can recall. I doubt anyone is reading this, but I suppose it's more for me anyhow. And while we all know the forthcoming remake is entirely pointless, I am kind of fucking hyped to platinum this again under different circumstances. Also always wanted to platinum it on PS3, but never got around to it and now can't thanks to multiplayer servers. I don't know why they don't just make multiplayer trophies unneeded for the plat or at least make them a separate trophy list, this is why Skate 3 will never be a platinum of mine despite spending years getting all the singleplayer shit.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
My feelings on at least the first Uncharted game have dramatically changed over the last seven-five years, but without a doubt this collection is up there as one of my favourite platinum experiences. I was literally so bored in 2016 that I ended up creating a new user just to re-platinum Uncharted 1, so I technically have 3 platinums for it. Also just lowkey one of the best remasters ever? All three games are masterfully updated and I used to play this thing maybe twice a year from 2015-2018. Though the last time I played Uncharted 1 in 2018, I was so bored that I couldn't get through it and I haven't played any of them since.

This one took me a year to get because I didn't have any friends to invite for that one trophy where you have to play with a friend. Why do developers assume I have friends, this is like a common trophy in a lot of games. Hell, Portal 2 requires you having at least two friends! Shameful.

First big multiplayer "boosting" grind that I can recall. Also did with a friend so that made it far more tolerable. Also also had a crush on this friend so it was a win-win for 16-year-old me when I had pretty much given up on the platinum and she got in touch and helped me with it. Hope she's well.

Me and the friend I played this with actually got into an argument about who would purchase the game. Stupid 17-year-old me thought that my friend should buy it because he had more money, despite the fact that he was only going to play it because I wanted to. Long story short, he was right and I bought the game. And that was probably more eventful and well written than the game.

I knew the online servers for this were being shut down at some point, so I decided to go for it and it was a big old grind. But also a very relaxing and straightforward platinum, from memory. I also remember continuously asking a friend to get the game and help me with the plat, but I didn't end up needing another person at all. Hooray for creating new users and loneliness.

The Extra Effort trophy legit took me like 20 hours over an entire month. When I finally got it, it was more satisfying than the platinum itself. Also helped that I got it at 3:42am after 40 minutes or so and the lovely outro instrumental of Remo Drive's Yer Killin' Me that no one plays in their guitar covers for some reason was playing in the background. I was very determined to just get this done and I got it done. Then it accidentally happened to me on FIFA 16 like a year later and that was kind of funny.

This was fun, and another one that I didn't try for a near decade before smashing relatively quickly. Zombies was probably the highlight, had help from a friend who is a bit of a master. I kept getting the ballistic knife when I needed the crossbow and then vice versa, I had the worst RNG. And I'm convinced that the campaign on veteran wasn't play tested, some scripted moments just completely fall apart when you take that much damage, specifically the ending of the Hong Kong level where you have to shoot like five guys from a van and it's just fucking impossible. Though clearly not, as I got it.

I literally spent like 13 hours out of the day just completing this, only for the disc to be unresponsive the next day. Got all the collectables and had maybe 2 hours left to go, but I decided to go to bed early for some reason. Fast forward two months and I finally got it, damn.

I always put this one off because the camera whilst flying as Superman (or any flyable character) is so awful. I guess I was in a bit of a Batman mood, though. Seems to happen every now and then, usually in game form. Hey, maybe I should do one of these for games I've got 100% on Steam. Arkham Asylum has been waiting on me for years now.

Got it ten years later to the exact minute. Madness. Was hoping I'd have someone to play some of the specs ops with, but much like Rocket League, I am still friendless. I did over the years play it with a handful of different people, but honestly it was easier just doing it solo.

I am so intrinsically fascinated by this game, having played it a total of three times for the platinum. It is such a bland, drab, uninspired and incoherent adaptation. It is mindboggling, yet I find it genuinely so uniquely bad and interesting all at once. It is playable, but I would probably rather watch someone play it because I think that would be a hell of an experience. It's such a standard gameplay loop, but I am just strangely drawn to this. I don't regret playing it, even though I should.

This platinum is proof that Sony's PS Plus trophy walkthrough thing on PS5 is immersive as hell. The reason I know that is because I forgot to use it and therefore missed one of the workshop carts, but clearly it all worked out in the end anyhow. I still prefer having a guide up on my other monitor.

Got PS Plus Extra for the rest of my current subscription and planned to abuse it during that month whilst my PC was away being serviced. Then I get it back four days later, a month earlier than expected, and it's right back to the Telltale video. What an EXTRA waste. Hah. That didn't make sense.

Despite being notoriously difficult, the race was probably the most enjoyable part of the Classic difficulty playthrough because it was uniquely challenging, and once I'd done it, it didn't even seem so bad though I'm sure it was. I mostly found the combat sequences frustrating, the amount of times I got shot whilst in cover was ludicrous and the hand-to-hand is absolute garbage. Decent game, the story is obviously the highlight and is done well. The, predictable in the sense that there has to be one, twist was very clever because it really plays with at least how I felt about certain characters at the start versus as the game progressed. Characters I initially didn't like became my favourites, and vice-versa, and those ones that fell out of favour were the ones involved. There's also a lot of crucial moments in gameplay that don't make sense until you get to that reveal, and it was kind of right under your nose the whole time given certain characters and their loyalties. Anyway.
