a lot of this game visually deals with the unconscious projected onto the real in ways that are very deliberate and work incredibly well
much less overtly surreal than other games on this list but all the stuff with Zanarkand is absolutely this

the pop-utopia futuria of much of the settings of this game, seen in other places like the moon kingdom in klonoa, is exactly the vibe here
