I think each and every single of the games here completely deserve their spot, and I don't know if you are accepting any suggestions or if it would even fit, but when looking at the tittle, the first game that came to mind was Papers Please and perhaps even Undertale? Again, I'd completely understand if you decided against incluiding them, I just thought they were worth mentioning.

I'm open to suggestions but this is a pretty subjective list and I'm sort of just putting what I feel fits. I think part of the issue - and why I ended up making the list - is that some games that are avante-garde slowly build up a legacy and games that were inspired by them proliferate and so these games end up feeling less avante-garde over time. Part of what I'm documenting here is this feeling that these games somehow continue to go unimitated.

Papers Please I'll have to think about, though.
