Beat this on Switch today, getting the ending for the second time in two days. I think this game is a little too obtuse, a little too difficult. Some outside help is maybe needed to beat the game. But it's really worth it, I think.
What a weird little game. For some reason this seems to be the remnant of an era when deck building action games were all the rage--I don't think this was released all that long before or after Chain of Memories for GBA. They're kind of clunky, and I'm glad we've moved past them. Still there's something charming about this game. I'm not sure if it's some kind of sublimated nostalgia (I played this game as a kid and only have very vague memories of it) but the music is superb and the visuals quaint. It's funny seeing that this is a Fromsoft game, though it's incredibly apparent in their menu system and font choice. A fun time.
