I am planning on playing through every Western released (US/EU) RPG on the PlayStation 1, and then rank them on a big list as we go through them.
Some of these have an RPG in a side thing, which is considered for this list. Some of these are also very loosely an "RPG" but are added in that they fit the spirit of an RPG in some way.
If you see any games missing in the list, please let me know!

Games that were considered but have been axed for various reasons:
- Space Griffon VF-9
[Reason: more FPS/Survival Horror than RPG]
- Tail of the Sun
[Reason: didn't quite fit the theme of the list]
- Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen
[Reason: port from a previous generation of console]
- Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
[Reason: port from a previous generation of console]
- FF Anthology (FFV + FFVI)
[Reason: port from a previous generation of console]
- Harvest Moon: Back to Nature
[Reason: didn't quite fit the theme of the list; big_gamer also says "as a big harvest moon head i wouldnt really consider it an rpg"]
- Castlevania Chronicles
[Reason: While SOTN is on the list, these games are more of remakes/ports of older adventure titles]
- Final Fantasy Chronicles (FFIV + Chrono Trigger)
[Reason: ports from a previous generation of console]
- Final Fantasy Origins (FFI + FFII)
[Reason: ports from a previous generation of console]
- Baldur's Gate
[Reason: cancelled/leaked project that is reportedly unfinished in some regards]
