Dark Souls 3 was my first Souls experience, the first playthrough i didn't enjoy it much but i thought it was alright.
But the second time I played it I was mind blown at how stupid I was. This game became one of my favorites in the series and the DLC is topnotch. The environments were nothing crazy but generally they were just fine. but the boss quality was insane, sure there were some meh bosses like Curse Rotted Greatwood and the Deacons of the Deep, but there were some absolute gems like Gael, Champion Gundyr, Abyss Watchers, etc etc. My favorite thing about souls games is fighting the bosses and boy did this game not disappoint. I think objectively Dark Souls 1 is a better game but Dark Souls 3 is by far my favorite.
I'd say this game is also the best game for newcomers but honestly you should just start with Dark Souls 1.

In theory setting an Assassin's Creed game during the American Revolution is a great idea, but in practice this game doesn't quite work. Our main character, Connor, is very dull, and struggles with motivations given he's caught between multiple different people and their intent to use him, which in turn robs him (and us) of agency. The cities of New York and Boston aren't particularly beautiful to explore, and free-running around the Frontier is finicky. The world is filled with lots of things to do, but most of it feels like busywork. Some things are good, such as the improved, faster combat and the smoother animations, but it's in a disorganized and sluggish package.
LSD: Dream Emulator clone that despite being extremely short has all the markings of a good "dream emulator" with trippy visuals, serene atmosphere and semi-cryptic puzzles. First time the charm and once you reach the end the magic of the dream evaporates. This makes next playthroughs to hunt for additional endings less engaging but still entertaining. Even if in more "gamey" than "dreamy" way.
A gigantic game with multiple routes. The game present 3 paths you can take. I have beaten Blue Lions and Golden Deer, with the Black Eagles as the last. But the game is long, and re-doing the first half of the game for a third time took a lot of my excitement away. Currently sleeping on this route.
