Rare Games that Are Difficult to Play

Games that are either out of production, have limited numbers of re-releases or ports, or are otherwise difficult to find and difficult to play. You'll probably have to emulate these if you really want to play them, or really scrounge for the original copy on the original platform. Lots of gems.

My mind goes to a ton of Playstation and Sega Saturn games right at the turn of the century, especially because that original hardware is getting difficult to maintain - Tail Concerto and Panzer Dragoon Saga are some of the more prohibitively expensive examples of games that are still relevant and worth playing.

Yeah, there must be so many others that I just have no knowledge of. So all suggestions welcome!

Great list!

Is something wrong with the Switch version of KOTOR or perhaps did you mean to add The Old Republic MMO instead?

Golden Sun is now on the Nintendo Switch Online service by the way.
