Games with The Sauce
A list of games, many of which I haven't played, that give off this aura that makes them so enticing for whatever reason. Depending on how I feel when I get around to them they could become favourites but I'll update this list as I get through them.

Really neat steampunk, dungeon crawling RPG by the people behind the Professor Layton games. The story isn't really anything to write home about from what I've played but the ways you can interact with its world via picture-taking and inventions plus recruiting NPCs makes the world feel very alive.
Don't know too much about this one but it seems to capture the essence of classic JRPGs with such a vibrant style.
Out of all the Final Fantasies out there, IX has my favourite look. Despite being on the PS1 the textures are very detailed and the low poly characters are stylised so nicely that it gives it this timeless vibe. Paying homage to the roots of Final Fantasy whilst spinning off into it's own thing. I am very much looking forward to experiencing the narrative.
A return to form classic JRPG that came out as they were becoming a dying breed. Bravely Default has this lovely storybook aesthetic with its chibi characters and watercolour splahes that really make the whole thing feel like a fairy tale come to life. Probably is one of my favourite OSTs as well.
Looks to be a cosy simulation of a summer vacation in the boonies. I've always loved these hyper niche low-stakes role playing games and this suits this desire to the letter.
An turn-based TRPG with flares of Dune by Atlus and with gorgeous artwork by Shigenori Soejima?? Inject this into my veins. Apparently it's nothing too special in both gameplay or story but it definitely has a particular identity which I find incredibly enticing.
A strategy game with a really interesting premise and concept. Sort of like the FIre Emblem permadeath concept but with much more of a focus due to the smaller cast.
I've been infatuated with these games since their first announcement. Minimal presentation that leaves room for imagination to fill in the gaps. Combined with some beautiful artwork and music it really gets my goat.
