There's a lovely reiteration in "Metal Gear Solid" ; that a piece of machinery couldn't be anything other than tangibly physical. But most other titles in the series trace a direct haptic lineage between each words whereas Snake Eater melds all this fuselage into a jungle hybrid.

Putting Part.II after such a title hints at an unwilling continuation, a story that was left unfinished and restless - with a hint of vengeance, maybe even regret.
