Cool as shit
Compared to M-KAI's other shmups, a weirdly sloppy outing. Great fun, but the looser design doesnt work well with M-Kai's style imo, and the story is basically as forgettable as possible. Eschatos tells a better story with 0% of the mediocre dialogue.
Also possesses stage 9, which might be one of the worst STG stages I've ever played.
Despite my issues though, GF is good. The variety of craft, the music, and the tone are nailed, and there's some really good M-Kai shmup content in here, particularly in some stages and the bosses - but it's definetly his worst outing.

Monetisation aside, Trackmania 2020 is kinda like Tetris. Close to perfect for what it is. The sales model is far away the worst part of it, which says a lot.
playing gradius 3 does sometimes make me consider how this series became popular when it's such a festival of bullshit. Charming and has some good elements, but I really dont think it holds up.
