The counter to my I hate these list.
These are games that ignite something in me that when I think of them. It could be a nostalgic memory, one story moment, gameplay, atmosphere, art design, the first game I played in the series, music or simply everything.
No particular order, I don't see the point of ranking, they are all fantastic in their own way to me and no explanation given unless asked.

@Reddish - Thanks! I decided to do it this way rather than a top 100 type list people do. I didn't want an order to them just games that mean something to me for some reason, many of these are flawed or far from perfect but gaming shouldn't be 100% objective. Sometimes it's how they make you feel in the moment and to many people that can be different things. I'll tweak it with time.

This list is sick and SOTN certainly means the world to me!! So many of these I have played and also plan to play in the near future I don't think I have seen your "Games I hate list" but Ill check it out because we seem to have very similar tastes lol great job with this one!
@DrJeans - Thanks! Still working on what I feel should be here and what shouldn't. I've been wanting to do this for some time and restarted several times never happy with it XD
Great list; a lotta bangers on here! Clicking through a few I notice that a lot of these you don't have reviews for. Do you find it hard to talk about games you particularly like? I have that problem a lot of times; I think all of my favorite games have like 1-sentence reviews on here or none at all.
@cowboyjosh - Oh wow you absolutely got me there for quite a lot of these. For example I've reviewed Streets of Rage 1 and 3 but not 2 yet for that reason. I simply find it hard to put into words how much SoR2 means to me from my childhood. I used to just go into the sound test menu and listen to the end theme which is almost cheerful and melancholy all at once, the aesthetics, playing it with friends etc. I just can't put it into words right.
Always super happy to see people sharing what games they love, and even more happy to see Hollow Knight on here! There are also quite interesting picks like Sonic R, a game that I wouldn't normally expect it to be someone's favorite, but it's very curious to see and makes me happy to see other people with different tastes! This also reminded that I really need to play Breath of Fire IV, you recommended it to me a while ago and it seems right up my alley.

While I non ironically do like Sonic R and played it to death as a kid, the whole reason it's on this list is for it's insane soundtrack. It's peak 90's Sega. I often still listen to it on my playlist it had that kind of impact on me. Burning Rangers almost made it for the same reason.

i admire your restraint in holding back from placing panzer dragoon saga at the top (though of course we know where it rests in your heart). very cool list!
Lovely list. Great to see Ico, ME, Dvinity, Burnout 3 takedown, FF8, Vagrant story, Trails SC, MHW, SC1, Titanfall 2, TW3, YS, Prey, LIS, HZD, darksiders and more. Love all of them to bits and back. Looking forward to trying these games down the line. Especially Baldur's Gate.

@Detectivefail - I expect new people going into the original Baldurs Gate with the old THACO rule set will have a real rough time. I do expect BGIII to make this list when I get to it...

@FallenGrace Oh yeah I hear ya! Probably why I haven’t made a list like this myself. It’s going to be hard as hell considering all the great games I’ve played and how to put them in a good order!
@FallenGrace OMG I agree, I’m trying to put forward a “like/love list” for ages since Top 100’s feel so… irrelevant most of the time. Lovely list
